See what it’s like to study a dual degree at the UQ Gatton Campus through the experience of Piper, a domestic student studying a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and Agribusiness.
In this video, Piper explains how combining agricultural science and agribusiness gives her “the best of both worlds,” allowing her to develop both technical and commercial skills. She shares how Gatton’s strong links to the agricultural industry, including the working farms and UQ Dairy on campus, provide valuable hands-on learning experiences.
Piper also talks about her time in the lab, working with insects, plant leaves, diseases, and pathogens under the microscope, and how these practical skills can be directly applied in the agricultural industry. She highlights the enthusiasm and expertise of her lecturers, as well as the importance of getting involved in campus life through clubs and societies. Piper particularly enjoys being part of the UQ Agricultural Science Society and the UQ Agribusiness Association.
