Meet PJ Mercanti, CEO of Carmens Group, proud Hamiltonian, and our 2026 Around the Bay Road Race Community Champion! This year, PJ is taking on the full 30-kilometre race and leading a team of friends, family and colleagues with a goal of raising $100,000 in support of vital equipment needs at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.
For PJ, this moment is truly full circle. He was born at St. Joe’s, he and his family have received care at the Hospital over the years, and today he serves on our Foundation Board. Now, he’s lacing up to run the iconic 30K Bay Race — a bucket-list goal as a lifelong Hamiltonian — to give back to St. Joe’s and the community he’s proud to call home.
