Imagine you are halfway across the city, and want to check on your kids back home. Or you are travelling to another country, and want to see what's happening in your office. Now imagine a robot keeping watch on your spaces while you are away, in a way that stationery cameras cannot. Meet I2U2, Bengaluru-based startup 1MoreThing's telepresence robot, which can move around and help you communicate virtually from anywhere in the world.
The robot can be controlled via an app to move and look around the house or office on command, and supports high definition video calling. All you need is an Android or iOS device or just a desktop browser. Earlier in January 2016, the company shipped the first version of the device to early adopters and the second version with more upgraded tech will begin shipping in June.
