About this video:
In this special interview, I sit down with Doug from Ide Innovations at Vinnie's in Sacramento — a true master craftsman whose work blew us away. We had him build a custom prep cabinet (credenza) and wedge cabinet in our Airstream, and after seeing his meticulous work on other rigs (including my friend Greg's), I knew I had to share his story.
Doug shares his journey from learning woodworking with his dad, to car audio and fiberglass in the 80s, building award-winning custom Harley-Davidsons (including Baddest Bagger wins and Easy Rider Show success), to falling in love with Airstreams and turning his skills into incredible interior modifications. From twin bed conversions and grand lounges to creative cabinetry, weight-saving techniques, solar/lithium work, and more — his attention to detail, challenges he loves, and practical Airstream knowledge shine through.
