Anelise is a bright light in her community. She easily accesses her JOY and shares it through her love of music. She is a proud State Ambassador and Officer for Best Buddies, and a true pioneer as the Founder and President of her high school's first and only fully inclusive music club. Anelise unexpectedly gained global notoriety in 2020 as she and her family band posted a vast array of musical performances called The Quarantine Sessions. Her heartfelt intentions were to "bring light to those who need it," and she is endlessly grateful to those who "feel the love" she's sending out.
After a very long and challenging year, we are excited to announce the 2nd annual Danny Awards, sponsored by René Plessner. To give our Award Recipients the event that they deserve, we are pushing the 2021 Danny Awards back until March 19, 2022, at 4:00-6:00 PM EST, in the hopes of hosting it live in New York City, and live streaming it globally via the internet.
A panel of judges comprised of musicians and music industry professionals will have selected top Award Recipients, chosen from video submissions in two categories; “Outstanding Original Song” and “Joyful Expression of a Cover Song”. Each Award Recipient will receive a personalized Danny Award memorializing their achievement, an honorarium of $500; plus, up to a $500 travel reimbursement (reimbursement to be made based on actual expenses incurred and submitted).
