Choose not to spend a lot of money on a kayak motor and your pocket won't feel light. Fix the things that make that motor feel cheap, and your pride will be lifted.

Seriously though, this has got to be the least expensive kayak trolling motor that I've ever seen. Sure, there are others that are just a little bit more money and give more power, but when you're stuffing all that extra weight a propulsion system has onto a tiny vessel like a kayak, every pound counts. And what good is that extra power if your little boat isn't designed to get up on plane? Then you just waste energy making a wake and looking like a dope on Youtube (not that I have any personal experience at that..)
No, this tiny motor doesn't weigh very much at all. And when paired with a small lithium battery, you'll have plenty of room left for all your tackle without swamping the gunwales or your budget.

If DIY isn't your thing and you got the money, I still think the Bixby K1 motor is the best quality option for a kayak due to it's small size. And the remote control, kill switch and waterproof battery make it plug and play option for those that are used to having the best. Here's where to find it:
