On September 11, 2001, then-Capt. Andrew Weaver was serving as the Military Personnel Flight Commander at Bolling Air Force Base, where he was placed in charge of the accountability efforts of all D.C. Airmen in the wake of the Pentagon attack. Now a retired Air Force colonel, Mr. Weaver recounts the day of the attack and how it shaped his life of service.
