Edit: ok so this description is hecka outdated bc the AU has changed so much, but I’ll put the changed stuff here: Emmet gets the collar right away. He doesn’t actually die. He gets all the powers at once. The Man Upstairs is just Finn. I’m tired annskamskqjsbsjjs
Ok so there’s a tiiiiiiny bit of story to this but honestly?? Not much is explained so I’ll do it here:

Hero!Emmet gets his powers,, There are three of them: Destruction (red), Creation (blue), and Reality (no specific color/normal eye color). He gets them because of a prophecy, blah blah,, Anyways, he gets Destruction first, which kinda kills him, so he has to wear a special collar (the Man Upstairs made it for him,,, more on t h a t later lol) to 1) help control his powers and 2) keep him alive, because it’s kinda against the laws of everything that he was brought back to life. He gets Creation next, and he’s smiling because Hey, this won’t actually kill him. Reality is the last one, the one that doesn’t really make sense. He doesn’t know what it actually DOES until,, a little bit later.

lol this is complicated but I’ve gotten this far with the AU and I’m not stopping now
