The Medic in Toxic Commando just refills the missing health instead of overhealing which is better done by the Defender Class making it much effective at preventing incoming damage before it starts to affect the actual HP. The defender's ability regen is really fast to cancel and provide overheals to all teammates and prevent damage than needing to heal teammates. The ability cooldown on the medic is low to provide constant overheals to teammates. Moreover, the medic is not forced (like the defender) to heal teammates to heal itself, it can always heal itself without needing to heal teammates. Other players are forced to relocate to medic's healing circle the only job the medic needs to do is being also done by other teammates. The projectile ability of the medic is not precise and fast enough to follow the teammate at all. The teammate would likely move from that spot where you are trying to provide the heal bubble at a distance. I am not sure why devs keep adding healer classes especially when they do not know how to properly implement them.
