So there was a contest held by MatMart called "Geometry Dash Civilization". If I beat this level, our team won.
This level is an absolute travesty gameplay-wise. There was so many broken transitions and invisible death planes that were absolutely infuriating to push through. On top of that, the level was balanced so that every other part was hard, for some reason. The first part easy, second part hard, third part easy.
I had no idea I was going to beat this. I was just playing this for fun while kyoto was beating the other level we needed to beat to win. I was convinced this was completely out of my skill range, and I was basically about to give up after grinding this for 8 hours yesterday. Turns out I have more drive than I thought.
About the enjoyment, I actually really liked playing this level. The hilarity of how scuffed the gameplay was kept me interested throughout the whole thing, and in the end it got pretty consistent too which helped.

In August of 2020, I decided I would beat a list demon. I wanted to choose a level that probably wouldnt fall off for a while. I found a level that looked funny called VendetTa, so I decided to play it.
It is now May 27, 2021. VendetTa is on the legacy list, at spot #152. After taking a break from this level for many months, I decided I would try it out again today. I beat it within an hour.

Mineber has been releasing quite a few levels as of late, and more often than not these levels are quality. ChopEnigma, a modernistic art collab with Kenshii, keeps up the general standard that Minbers levels follow. The creators especially did an excellent job with the cleanliness of the art that makes up the backgrounds of many of the parts. What makes this level shine, however, is not its cleanliness, but its consistency. This level is certainly upbeat as it includes lots of bright and flashy colors, and the song choice certainly backs it up with a cheerful feel. The bright and colorful theming throughout the level definitely helps stitch the collab parts together to make a solid flowing level. Its honestly surprising how well this level flows, judging that in several parts of the level, the design switches almost every 3-4 seconds. One other characteristic of the level that is quite interesting is the choice to fade the blocks on the left and right of the screen. This is an extremely bold move for a modernistic level, and Mineber managed to pull it off effectively. However, a few of the details in the level look a bit strange, such as the ground and ceiling glow present within the first half of the level. These colors dont really blend well with the surrounding objects, and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Overall, ChopEnigma is a consistent and solid level - both creators did a great job with their parts while also throwing in some originality along the way.

I beat another extreme demon! Wow! In this video, I attempted to use a different capturing method to include my fps with my recording. Sadly, this turned out to capture my screen outside of gd (obviously). This is why there is a cut before I exit out of my game.
