In this second iteration of a Meccano deadbeat escapement, each of the six escape wheel arms is tipped with a 6×32 screw—standing in for the angled teeth found in traditional designs.

The build was inspired by feedback from YouTube creator @benvandewaal, who noted that the symmetrical anchor in the original version produced an uneven tick-tock rhythm. In classic deadbeat escapements, the entry and exit pallets are intentionally asymmetric to balance impulse and lock phases.

This updated version introduces that asymmetry, refining the pallet geometry to improve timing consistency and bring the escapement closer to its historical counterpart.
