We loved partnering with IndigeDesignLabs to bring our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to life, with 13 First Nations creatives, aged 13 – 22, working on its design under the expert tutelage of @Leigh Harris and @Jamaylya Ballangarry-Kearins. The project is a representation of MECCA’s commitment to allyship with First Nations peoples throughout Australia.
Our favourite part of the design would have to be the Acknowledgment icon using the 'MECCA lips' to form a beautiful butterfly – a symbol of healing and transformation.
Education is the foundation of progress and plays an important role in our RAP. With the RAP as our roadmap, we’ll continue our dedication to grow awareness, understanding and appreciation of First Nations cultures within our community.
