Travis was born with neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic condition that causes tumors to form on nerve tissue. These tumors are usually benign but sometimes can become cancerous. After three femur fractures, he had to decide if an amputation was right for him. He found support and comfort from an unexpected source—his three-legged dog, Lady.
