this is sooo late to the party but that's okay. I wanted to make a version
characters: blossompaw (gray and ginger cat) and parrotpaw (dark ginger cat)

this took me way too long for no reason I just lost motivation
story: (whole lore drop) blossompaw is in love with her friend Parrotpaw (but won't tell her lmao). parrotpaw develops an illness that none of the cats have seen before. Blossompaw and lavenderberry (the medicine cat) travel in search of a cure or anyone who knows what could be happening. they meet a cat whose friend died from the illness and warns that it is basically a death sentence. Blossompaw still can't tell Parrotpaw how she feels even when it's obviously too late. She watches her wither away and die. She beats herself up over her failure to tell her how she felt or somehow miraculously cure her, feeling as though her death is her fault.
