One thing they don’t tell you when you dream of life in Europe? The elevators (aka “lifts”) in older buildings are often wildly small — like, blink and you might miss ‘em. This little beauty in Nice felt more like a vintage phone booth than a lift, and yes… I questioned all my life choices on the way up.
