McToon currently has a $10,000 bit coin challenge. The only requirement is you have to only use flat earth mathematics, you can't use any reference to the globe. The money is in escrow and waiting for a lucky flerf to use the flat earth to find the locations where the sights were taken. No flerf has met the challenge yet, and only one tried, but used a sphere to do his calculations.

As proof that the challenge is real and the money is available, McToon offered $100 in bit coin to the first one to use any method (including the globe) to find where he took three star sights with a basic app on his phone. It was solved using the globe earth in 4 min.

In this episode, Bob goes through this navigation exercise, using the globe to find the position the sights were taken accurately.
