Testing how fast the MCP3008 200ksps ADC can read inputs at 3.3v using ESP32S3 in the Arduino Framework.
The 200ksps rate is the best case datasheet spec when running at 5v with no overhead so what kind of sample rate can be obtained with Arduino overhead while running at 3.3v (slower max speeds)?
Sketch used: github.com/GadgetReboot/mcp3008_ADC_Test/blob/main/MCP3008_Test.ino
0:00 MCP3008 ADC Overview
2:59 Test Setup
7:19 Initial ADC input reading at various SPI clock rates
10:45 Find the shortest pulse width that can be read
16:28 Going forward with a project
