「 MCO OOMPH 」Building up a punchy beat using the MCO (mkII)’s ‘Oomph’ kick drum & bass voice with heavy modulation to its Drive, Distortion type, FM Ratio, FM Depth, Thump and Envelope parameters. The MCO is a highly versatile digital VCO and voice module with a broad collection of unique, high-quality synth voices, each with extensive, customisable parameters.
Starting from the ‘Oomph’ voice, a short simple kick sound is produced by triggering the module (the voice will drone with no trigger patched). CV modulation is patched from Pamela’s PRO Workout to the 3 CV inputs of the MCO which are pre-assigned to various voice parameters alongside LFO1 (built into the MCO). Using the quick assign button combo (Hold back + twist encoder), modulation is immediately assigned to more parameters, adding lively dynamic and tonal shifts to the kicks by modulating the Drive, Distortion type, FM Ratio, FM Depth, Thump and Envelope parameters. The new MCO includes vast expressive modulation options with its built in envelope, 3 LFOs and 3 CV inputs all freely assignable! Axon CV input expanders are also supported for even more CV inputs and control options.
