Welcome to Road & Track's 2025 Performance Car of the Year test. This is a three-video series where editor-at-large Matt Farah (@TheSmokingTire) takes us through the whole 10-car field of competitors at our test.

In this initial video, Farah puts our four open-top test cars together for a head-to-head comparison. Those cars are the Porsche 718 Spyder RS, the Mclaren Artura Spider, the updated Mazda Miata, and the BMW Z4 M40i manual. The test was conducted at Thunderhill Raceway on its 2.0-mile West course.
