This vacuum cleaner has been on my wish list for years as it was the first vacuum I remember my Mum using way back in the early 70s. A very basic, lightweight design with a small 250 watt motor and one of the cheaper uprights available at the time. No tools were available for this model, so its primary use was for cleaning carpets. You would need a cylinder or hand held vacuum to clean anything above the floor.
I own a Ewbank version of the McDonald in a blue colour with a slightly different bag with a zip fastening. Made in West Germany, this model was also available in the USA as the Oreck CVR 4000 and in Australia it was sold under the Pye brand.
