I showcase a block duplication method that allows you to dupe any block.
Simple explanation : it's basically a gravity block duper a bit modified to work with any falling block
Explanation : you can get any block (without nbt data) in falling block state by doing gravity block conversion (reliable method by Obi : youtu.be/ZtwhPrnGrAg , Warning ! method can cause corruption if you're not careful). You can dupe falling blocks by sending them through an end gateway or end portal in the same gametick that they become a normal block. For that, I use water (concept by Mr Cool Dogs youtube.com/channel/UCcdKqipif-OK_Y0p_l6FFmw) to push them in the gateway : they’ll get pushed and land (so become a solid block) at the exact same time, which will result in one solid block on your side, and one falling block on the other side. So the solid block is just moved out of the way, and on the other side (that can be loaded by a player or a tickingarea), the falling blocks are sent through a gateway again to get them back to the duping station.
You can also make this with an end portal, which would make it simpler to set up and more reliable.
With one duping station, you can dupe up to one block every 22gt, as gateway cool down is 22gt ; it can be faster if you use end portals or multiple stations.
This method breaks after 30 seconds in the latest betas, as falling blocks will break after falling for 30 seconds.
Depending on what block you’re duping, you can link it to a wither cage to automatically break and harvest the items.
This isn’t very useful for two reasons :
First of all, you can dupe items faster by using other general item dupes like the beacon dupe, even though these methods aren’t automatic
Second of all, this will duplicate the block but won’t give it in item form. This means that you can’t really use it for duping illegal blocks such as bedrock or portal tiles because you won’t be able to harvest them. I only see it being useful for shulker boxes (empty of course).
