Bobby McBain (Christopher Walken) is an ex-POW living a quiet life as a steelworker in New York City. His past comes knocking when he learns that Roberto Santos, the soldier who saved his life in Vietnam, has been killed while leading a rebellion against a ruthless, drug-running dictator in Colombia. Honoring a blood oath made years ago, McBain reunites his elite squad of Vietnam veterans—including hard-hitters played by Michael Ironside and Steve James.
