Jang "MC" Min Chul is a Protoss player from South Korea, who is currently personally sponsored by Global eSports Management.
Overview:
Jang Min Chul is one of the best performing Protoss players in the world, with two GSL titles and one second place finish to his name. He has also traveled to Europe several times, winning 2011 DreamHack Stockholm Invitational, Copenhagen Games Spring 2011, HomeStory Cup IV and IEM Season VI - World Championship while taking silver in IEM Season VI - Global Challenge Cologne.
Playstyle:
Nicknamed the boss-toss, MC has strong mechanics and is famed for his Stalker control and impressive use of the Blink ability. He uses his mechanics to surgically pull his opponents apart with an aggressive style that involves constant pressure and harassment, though he also wields a fearsome late-game macro style against those players that can survive his initial pressure.
For much of Wings of Liberty, MC has been known for his killer instincts and piercing all-ins, coupled with very fine-tuned unit control. MC's 2 base play in this period is very powerful. As he transitioned into HotS, he lead the metagame for a short period with innovative oracle play. Though he appears to have lost some of his killer all-in abilities in HotS, he has shown stronger late game play, being able to snowball early-game advantages into victory more often.
Biography:
After a stint on MBC's B-team, MC (a.k.a. IrOn) moved on to StarCraft II becoming at the time, the first active South Korean Brood War progamer on a proteam to publicly announce the switch.
