It’s impossible for me to describe the terror I felt at that moment. When the ritual was performed, they were supposed to return. When the energy was drawn from the Lotus, the light was blinding, and what emerged from the circle was… well, I didn’t know what it was. The spirits before me referred to them as Fear. Monsters… of pure negative spiritual energy that had been suppressed for as long as the Astral Plains had existed. When the Thousand Petal Lotus’ energy infused with the land, it drew out the Fear that had been locked away for so long.

There was another among them, A spirit, like me. When I approached her at the Chapel, her energy was so… oppressive. It felt like I was being weighed down just being near her. When she left the Chapel, she took those horrible monsters with her, and they were headed straight for the Plains.

She slaughtered them.
