I am playing a wonderful composition by Japanese composer Mayumi Kato. There can be not much found about her but the most important thing we know is: Her style is distinct and beautiful, her pieces often challenging. She manages to transport nostalgia and playfulness at the same time. I also like how her Japanese descent is transported through her style. Her music is truly full of life.

The melodies are catchy, the chords pretty cool. On the left page there are always exercises for rhythmic patterns and on the right is the piece. Crystal Bowl is written in Swing Piano Style.
