Highretrogamelord | Mayhem for the ZX81 @Highretrogamelord | Uploaded 3 months ago | Updated 16 hours ago
Came also out for:
Commodore PET/CBM
Odyssey 2
VIC-20
Videopac+ G7400
Game description:
Wizzy, son of the Wizard of Odyssey, got in trouble when trying to work a spell to set some sticks on fire: instead of burning, the sticks are now flying around him and he has to collect the coins while avoiding him.
Mayhem is a fast paced action game. The player has to control Wizzy while trying to collect coins. At first, just one flying stick will be flying around the screen, but as the coins are collected the game becomes harder, with more and more sticks flying around (added first at 5 points and then after each 10 points). For consoles equipped with The Voice module, an alert is emitted when a new stick is added.
The game also features a secret hidden gameplay mode, internet highscore uploading and an online rewards system. To upload the highscore, players receive a code which must be entered at the developer's website. The online rewards work the same way, and there are four of them:
[bronze] Play four games in one session
[bronze] Reach chaos level 4
[silver] Reach chaos level 6
[gold] Reach chaos level 8
