A true Israeli heroine: Maya Regev (22) was held hostage by Hamas terrorists in Gaza for 50 days after being kidnapped from the Nova Festival. She was released on November 25th, 2023, as part of a ceasefire deal. Today, she successfully took her first steps with the help of crutches after needing to learn to walk again. We are so proud of you Maya! Read her message below:
“I went through a lot with this leg. Many surgeries, complications, and mostly frustration. There were moments when I thought it would never happen and I almost gave up. But it happened: I was able to take my first steps, and I am proud of myself and the journey I went through and am still going through. I am proud of myself. I did it.”
