The Bennington, KS EF-4 Tornado was on the ground for almost an hour and grew to 3/4 of a mile in width. It's forward speed was 5mph and it actually moved back west and ended near where it started. DOW measured winds were 246 mph which is close to EF-5. This tornado was unlike any we have ever seen before. There were no injuries or deaths with this tornado, however it did destroy over 100 head of cattle.
