Part of a very active period for tornadoes and severe weather across the Midwest, May 13, 1995 was a broad high risk day across much of Missouri and Illinois that produced several tornadoes in Central Illinois. This is the storm chase video journal by David Hoadley from that day, specifically in and around the Peoria region near Manito, Illinois.
Information from the National Weather Service: 5/13/1995: This strong tornado touched down along the Illinois River northeast of Goofy Ridge in extreme northern Mason County. It moved northeast across the Sand Ridge State Forest into Tazewell County, finally lifting near Tremont, after taking a path of about 25 miles. In Mason County, 23 people were injured, as over 36 homes and trailers were damaged or destroyed.
