Remaking a game is always a tricky balance between wanting to stay faithful to the original, but introduce things that are fresh and more appealing to the modern audience. Fatal Frame 2 remake does a great job at preserving the story, characters, and even the atmosphere, which is usually lost in the switch to third person over-the-shoulder camera. It's very faithful, but I do think trying to incorporate so many more mechanics to the gameplay loop and camera combat has caused a lot of frustration from old and new fans alike. Team Ninja put a few too many cookies into that jar, but I think it's a good learning opportunity for whenever Fatal Frame 6 becomes a possibility. Overall, I like it!
