Shoppers and alike they gather round
They study how I look and how I sound
Captivated as I browse

Strolling through the supermarket, goods in every aisle
There’s beauty in the tiles, reflecting my sweet smile

I’m feeling like tomato soup can man, part of the display

My little curls of envy breed despair
See everybody wants to call me theirs
Such infatigable stares

Then it hit me like a truck of lightning
Square into my face
I was struck down with just
A glimpse of mild disgust

There were people in my way but I pushed through
A sorry crowd bewildered and confused
A couple scuffed and bruised
