Today's Destiny 2 PvP funny moments gameplay video is brought to you by Skyburner's Oath, Ember of Singeing, and Khepri's Horn! Just spam scorch and Khepri's fire wave, WHAT COULD GO WRONG!?
Solar 3.0 dropped with Season of the Haunted, and one of the fragments is Ember of Singeing, which kickstarts the cooldown on your class ability when you scorch a target. This is a VERY good fragment for any class ability exotics, obviously, and since Solar 3.0 just dropped we're pairing it with Khepris Horn.
Solar kills give you a chunk of class ability energy, and this includes grenades, melees, weapons, and even the fire wave from Khepri's. So you can have a LOT of uptime on your barricade cast, especially with Consecration, which both adds Scorch for the Ember of Singeing cooldown as well as gives a chunk back when you get the kill.
You can also apply scorch with specific weapons, but the "easiest" to do it consistently is Skyburner's Oath. I say "easiest" because all you do is hipfire and you have a scorch explosive projectile. I put "easiest" in quotes because Skyburner's Oath is...not good.
You CAN run Prometheus Lens, but I've found the only way to get Scorch to apply to the target is to hit all body shots, otherwise the weapon doesn't have enough time to ramp up and apply the Scorch, so it's not that reliable. There's also Incandescent weapons, but that requires getting into a 2v1, killing one of the targets, and then applying the scorch to the second target while also not dying.
Khepri's Horn used to make Sunspots on kill, which it no longer does, which is a huge bummer. However, it is still really good despite the fact that it has no right being really good on account of how goofy it is.
I forgot to check if it gives you stacks of Roaring Flames or not because I am a dummy, albeit Roaring Flames is no longer really worthwhile in PvP since it doesn't boost damage enough for one shot Throwing Hammers or one shot Fusion Grenades. I guess the Scorch on standard melee is nice?
