This is just one of many wonderful "hacks" I have planned to share.
Ways for you to save money, get more functionality, break past limits, to use what you bought how you want.
And this video actually serves as the documentation for two things I have had to mention and talk about more than once in discussion within solar groups. So now I can use this video instead of typing out the same answer over and over and over again that nobody will listen too since they don't believe it anyways.
So, besides being cool. What are the actual practical benefits here?
* You can use pre-existing solar panels that you already own and already have installed to safely charge a smaller device without damaging it.
* You want to ensure you get the max charging rate of your solar to your power station by allowing the use of larger panels.
* You want to build a DIY system and share 1 set of solar panels with multiple power stations.
* You wanted to run something off of solar, but not need batteries. Now you know you can use the right MPPT as a "power supply" and run directly off solar.
* You want better tracking metrics as the power station may have limited or no tracking but the MPPT can have great tracking like Victron.
* And more!
