Max Blagg is a British-born poet, writer, performer, and visual artist who has been a central figure in the New York City literary and art scene since the early 1970s. Known for his dynamic live readings at iconic venues like the Kitchen, Guggenheim Museum, CBGB, and the Bowery Poetry Club, he has published multiple collections of poetry and prose and co-founded the influential art/literature magazine Bald Ego. Blagg’s work often intersects with the visual arts through collaborations with prominent artists and unique text-based artworks, and he has also taught poetry and contributed to various magazines while continuing to innovate in both written and visual forms.
