Review and speed test on macOS and Windows of the Mavinex 9-in-1 M01 all aluminium USB-C 3.0 5gbps hub. A hub doesn't need any extra power to run which is very handy but does it come close to the advertised 5gbps speed?

This is a low price hub with a solid aluminium build. Maxing out at 4K 30Hz, it might not be suitable for everyone and some of you out there might insist on USB 3.1 10gbps but this is a lovely hub for the money and if you're fine with those limitations, this will do great.

The reality is that most of the hubs out there use the same internal components and chipsets. This one separates itself from the pack by its all aluminium casing which feels and looks superb as well as running cool.
