our first day in maui was pretty much lost to travel, but we made the most of it! once we were at the resort, we checked out the grounds and spent some time watching the sun set. we went to whaler's village for dinner and got food from leilani's on the beach, but we would've preferred monkeypod - next time!

the second day shown in this video shows fun snorkeling, cliff jumping, and an attempt at haleakala. we did not anticipate how stressful the drive would be and ultimately made the decision to turn around when we were close to the top.

while we were in maui before the fires, it is not lost on us how devastating this was for the island. please respect the current wishes of the locals and always be respectful, anywhere you go! below are a couple of resources for learning about maui and the option to donate to help them rebuild their home
