Matrimony Melee: Westlake police said they were called to La Centre Banquet Facility around 8:50 p.m. for a report of a large fight that began inside the ballroom during a wedding reception but spilled out the front doors.
Officers arrived and said they found about 45 people in the parking lot. That led to calls for additional police from three neighboring departments.
"Even before police got there, the 911 dispatcher got information out that a couple people were already bleeding and there was a weapon involved,” said Westlake Police Captain Jerry Vogel.
Investigators said that weapon was a butter knife taken from a place setting on one of the tables.
