"Matriclysm: An Archeology of Connection Lost," explores the creative process behind the artist @jewel's fine art exhibition of the same name.
Her immersive, almost sentient artwork, created in collaboration with organizations such as NASA, NOAA, and SCAD, examines the experience as a woman in the world and how we have lost our connection to the feminine, to ourselves, to each other, and to the natural world. We see how each of these aspects of humanity is fundamentally rooted in the feminine and how the loss of the feminine leads to the loss of ourselves.
Led by Savannah College of Art and Design's award-winning Branded Content team, a group of promising film students were provided valuable real-world work experience collaborating on the premium documentary.
Editor Raenise Nugent, and fellow SCAD B.F.A., film and television students Jazmin Leon (Post Supervisor), Nasiir Mayers (Assistant Editor) and Matt Davis (Production Coordinator), worked alongside industry professionals to create this exploration of connection.
