Mathias Kaden's ‘Freedom’ on Rekids receives the remix treatment 1st August 2025, with a new version from Kaden, as well as a dub mix from Radio Slave. Initially released as part of his 2024 ‘Circulate’ EP on the label, the release won support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, TSHA, and Dam Swindle.
Rooted in soul but geared for the dancefloor, Mathias Kaden’s uptempo rework of ‘Freedom’ toughens the original’s groove while allowing its jazz and dub-inflected stabs, strings, and keys to shine through, all while stripping back the track’s memorable spoken-word sample. Meanwhile, Radio Slave’s eleven-minute dub mix is a hypnotic, slow-burning and dreamlike track, built on spacious layering and a hauntingly re-emergent vocal. A full instrumental completes the package, with Kaden and Radio Slave joining previous ‘Freedom’ remixer William Kiss in offering three distinctive takes on the track.

Venezuela’s Confidential Recipe & Scottish artist Harvey McKay come back to Radio Slave’s techno-leaning RSPX offshoot with their first collaboration, the ‘Bad Man’ EP, arriving 18th July 2025. The release, drawing inspiration from the Chicagoan Dance Mania label, opens with the title track, a syncopated techno slammer driven by booming kicks, fizzing hi-hats, and up vocal chops. Fragmented samples and textured stabs inject raw energy, building tension before the drop hits hard.
Going second, ‘Move It’ is a relentless deep techno cut with rolling bass, sonar-like synth pulses, and jacked-up percussion, engineered for maximum effect on the dancefloor, already supported by Mark Broom, Tasha & Elisa Bee.

London artist CASSIMM returns to Rekids with ‘I’ll Take You There’, landing 26th September 2025. French producer The Hacker joins forces with vocalist, songwriter, and producer Rein for ‘We Come Alive’ on Rekids, arriving 19th June 2026. A longstanding figure within the underground, The Hacker helped shape the early electroclash movement through his analogue-heavy sound and influential releases on labels including Turbo Recordings and Dark Entries, while Rein has built an international reputation through a darkwave-influenced sound that blurs underground and crossover electronics, alongside releases on Boysnoize Records and live appearances with Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb.

UK Techno and House lynchpin Mark Broom returns to Rekids with the ‘Touch’ EP, landing 8th May 2026. Active since the late ‘80s and widely regarded as one of UK dance music’s most enduring figures, Broom’s catalogue spans key imprints including Warp Records, M-Plant, Hardgroove, and his own Pure Plastic and Beardman, alongside collaborations with the likes of Riva Starr, Baby Ford, and James Ruskin. Since first appearing on Rekids in 2019, he’s gone on to deliver 13 further releases, including his five-part ‘Mutated Battle Breaks’ EP series on sister label RSPX.
Following 2024’s ‘Showtime’ EP, his last House-leaning outing for Rekids, Mark Broom now drops the ‘Touch’ EP. The title track leads the charge, pairing a nostalgic vocal with a Disco-House hybrid feel and jackin’ edge, setting the tone for ‘Eyes’, where he works the filters to build suspense as a loopy sample drives those feel-good dancefloor moments.

German DJ/producer Butch returns to Rekids with the ‘Official Bump Call’ EP 22nd May 2026. It marks his first release on the label since 2011’s ‘Raw Beats’ two-tracker, followed by a 2018 appearance remixing Basement Jaxx’s ‘Good Luck’. This time, Snatch! Records boss Riva Starr joins for a remix fresh off the back of his ‘Shine A Light’ EP on Radio Slave’s main imprint.

Butch’s Official Bump Call plays with live, loose, and funky drum breaks that ride a swollen bassline. Toms and congas pepper the groove as steamy vocals inject the soul. Its a dusty, heartfelt House sound that balances vintage samples with his signature production prowess, making for a sure-fire summer heater.
Riva Starr is an equally influential producer who heads up the Snatch! label and has been turning out essential House sounds for many years. His remix beefs up the drums while keeping the slow-burning vocal heat front and center, creating a devastatingly deep yet driving sound.
Foxtrot Uniform is another tasteful jumble of soul, funk, and gospel motifs with a lived-in house groove thats instinctive and real. Berlin’s J Choirboy debuts on Rekids Special Projects with the ‘Mammoth’ EP, landing 17th October 2025. The title track taps into the sort of big, muscular club tools that defined Rekids label head Radio Slave’s early career, with fizzing chords hanging above booming kicks and a constant tension built to dominate dance floors. ‘Loam’ is just as heavy, this time with bright chords bouncing off gritty, rolling drums for full-body workouts in the club. ‘Stacco’ sinks into grainy territory with static-charged synths and a swinging kick, perfect for warm-ups or 5 a.m. hypnosis. Closing cut ‘The Miller’ layers liquid chords and perfectly syncopated drums into a vast wall of warm, enveloping Dub.
