This is the eighth lecture in Christiana Mavroyiakoumou's course. In the previous lectures, we saw how a signal propagates from our brain to our muscles to say, "do something." But the muscle then has to do something. This is what we cover in this lecture. Specifically, we derive a model for muscle contraction with a low calcium ion concentration in steady state that is excitable under stimulus.
