On the bench today is a 1:64 scale Matchbox 1955 Ford F-100 Panel Delivery. This is my entry to the December Four Horsemen invitational on the theme of Your Christmas Tradition. We welcome our Guest Horseman for December, Beard Does Diecast.
The second generation of the Ford F-Series is a series of trucks that was produced by Ford from the 1953 to 1956 model years. Marketed as the "Triple Economy" series, it was comprehensive array of vehicles, ranging from light-duty pickup trucks to heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
The Coca‑Cola Company began its Christmas advertising in the 1920s with shopping-related ads in magazines like The Saturday Evening Post. In 1931 Coca‑Cola commissioned Michigan-born illustrator Haddon Sundblom to develop advertising images using Santa Claus. Sundblom created the character of a warm, friendly, pleasantly plump Santa. Sundblom’s Santa debuted in 1931 in Coke ads in The Saturday Evening Post, as well as in Ladies Home Journal, National Geographic, The New Yorker and others.
Sundblom’s original paintings are some of the most prized pieces in the art collection in the company’s archives department and have been on exhibit around the world, in famous locales including the Louvre in Paris and the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. Many of the original paintings can be seen on display at World of Coca‑Cola in Atlanta, Georgia.

FYI: All of the Maple Leaf Customs finished projects that are kid-friendly are put in custom blister packs and go to my local Goodwill store where they are given to children for free. If there are parts that can be swallowed, those cars are given as gifts to adult collectors that are fellow enthusiasts.
Note: Due to the use of paint stripping chemicals and power tools, this channel is not intended for viewing by children. Age 14+ is recommended.
