Through My Lens | Matanuska Glacier: Hiking on a Glacier near Anchorage @ThroughMyLens | Uploaded August 2021 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Matanuska Glacier is a 27-mile long glacier that is about an hour and a half north of Anchorage. The glacier is the largest of its kind that is accessible by car in the USA. My dad and I set out to hike on the glacier with a guided tour in June 2021. We had a blast learning about the science behind glaciers and getting to explore such a beautiful area with microspikes. Be sure to visit if you are in the area, and let me know what you think in the comments.
