Mark Losey recently posted an amazing shot of Mat doing a one-handed no-footed candy bar at this event, which inspired me to cut this "all Mat" clip you are about to witness.
Notes-
The footage is in continuity from the moment Mat started practicing on the vert ramp, to his very last runs for the photo shoot.
This ramp was extremely tight, fast, the transitions had serious commitment issues, as did the varying degrees of vert.
The framework was deteriorating rapidly due to proximity of the beach and, well- Florida.
Also, it was layered in steel.
As we know, Mat is one tough dude (understatement).
To see him get back up on the deck to shoot with Brad McDonald
after that no-handed flip-fakie slam was testimony to his mental fortitude.
