Masters of Albion is a unique god game created by Peter Molyneux and his team at 22 cans. It has many different elements of his past games mashed together. Lots of references to Fable. There is quite a bit good and a decent amount of jank or bad. It's very early access, I think it needs around 6 months to a year of work for the majority of people to enjoy this game.

I personally enjoyed most of my time with it, my favorite thing so far has been the tranquil music created by the one and only Russell Shaw. Some tracks in here are clearly inspired by his past work on Fable 1 and 2. I quite enjoyed the building system as well, deciding what to add to which plot to speed up resource growth or to decorate for your own pleasure. The day's are usually quite relaxing to build to and it encourages you to take your time exploring or building. I enjoyed cooking the food but I didn't like how vague the requests are for it at times. The voice acting was very well done and felt very reminiscent of the Fable games as well which I quite enjoyed.

A few negatives. First the performance is rough, especially later on with more enemies and people on screen. The Hero combat needs a lot of work it feels like it was just added a month before release. The nights are to brutal with spawning I feel like instead of it being unlimited spawns (most nights) I would prefer a set number dependent on the difficulty you choose at the start. Right now its far to overwhelming. If it stays this way turrets need a big buff or we need access to double or triple the amount found on the map naturally. Instead of taking plots from needed areas like more housing.

Another thing to add to this, I'd like more plots or be able to buy them. This is the driving part that kept me playing the most. More plots to decorate and speed up resource gathering would be better. Could unlock certain ones from doing quests for example unique structures like mansions, crypts, farms all accessible when you posses someone. That have fun Fable style quests behind them. Being able to explore the starting crypt later on would be cool as well. The Arena needs a massive nerf, without the Rubber Duck I'm unsure how you were supposed to beat it. It was the only time I thought to myself I might get soft locked if I keep trying to beat it since it costs Gold and Favors to compete. I think it's silly that it costs you anything at all... YOU BUILT IT & OWN IT! Last thing is the Hand Powers need to feel better right now they feel like a nothing burger.

Lots more I could say but I do enjoy the game I just hope they continue to keep updating and making it better. Like always I hope you enjoy this longplay :)
