So I had a lot of pent up frustration with the Masters 8 arc, and so I funneled that anger into this. I think my lines were pretty good, and it's always a joy to rap as Alain. Again, my audio quality's not the best, but this is a primarily hobby, so sorry about that! XD
Anyway, I'm so tired defending this arc online, so all I can say now is: if you didn't like the battles, just head canon your own battles that lead to the same outcomes. If you don't like outcomes, you can head canon those two. No one's here to stop your imagination.
Oh yeah, I ranked these guys from weakest to strongest based on how I think they'll be by the end of the Masters 8: Alain, Iris, Lance, Steven, Diantha, Cynthia, Leon, Ash.
Alain realistically is even with Iris, but Iris put up a better showing. I also wanted to change the rankings as much as possible lol. Also, Alain being the benchmark of the Masters 8 is awesome. Alain's feats speak for themselves, so the fact he could be #8 is terrifying.
Lance is over Iris in my eyes bc Iris hasn't been called a Dragon Master yet. That's literally it. She could be stronger than Lance for all we know
Steven didn't make it to the semifinals, that's all the reason I need to make him #5 (Again, I want to change the rankings as much possible; he's probably even with Diantha)
At the time of recording, I was confident Ash would beat Leon because plot. But now, I'm not so sure. If Ash loses to Leon, then let's say I put Ash last bc he's the protagonist, not necessary the strongest (covering my bases lol)
