Welcome back to Office Hours at SendCutSend Community College. In this lesson we focus on designing a simple gasket style part and using sketch tools correctly to avoid frustration and rework.
Jake walks through how to plan and sketch a basic flange gasket starting from the origin and building everything parametrically. He covers units dimensions constraints construction lines and offsets so the sketch is fully defined clean and ready for export or manufacturing with SendCutSend.

• start sketches from the origin for better control and symmetry
• switch units and apply dimensions correctly
• use construction lines to center and space features
• apply equal constraints to keep holes consistent

• trim sketches cleanly while keeping them fully constrained
• export a DXF or create a manufacturable sheet metal part
