Massachusetts ballot question 4 would legalize certain types of psychedelic mushrooms, allow adults to grow them at home and share with others, and set up a framework for facilities where people can use the mushrooms. Retail sales would not be permitted. A YES vote would make these changes and a NO vote would keep the law as it is now -- psychedelics are not legal for use in Massachusetts.

Emily Oneschuk, grassroots campaign director for Massachusetts for Mental Health Options, representing YES; and Dr. Nassir Ghaemi, professor of psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center and clinical lecturer at Harvard Medical School, representing NO joined Boston Public Radio to debate the question.
