On December 1, 2025, the Notre Dame community came together for a special Mass to pray for immigrants and for meaningful immigration reform, answering the recent call from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. University President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., preached and presided.
Together, we pray for a renewed commitment to uphold the human dignity of all immigrants while pursuing reforms that protect both people and national security. May the Church’s foundational concern for the human person guide every policy discussion, and may we find the courage to respond to all immigrants with compassion, solidarity, and hope.
