The Krogan species are some of the fiercest warriors in the whole of the Mass Effect Universe, however despite this, their numbers are extremely limited as they are all hidden away in their separate clans.

Their history with the Citadel Counsel is also extremely heated with not many living within the Citadel itself. So what happened? Why are the Krogan so low on numbers and what were the events that led up to where we are now?
