A fascinating discovery from deepest Antarctica has rocked the world of oceanography: a mass breeding colony of 60 million icefish (Neopagetopsis ionah) was filmed in 2021 by the Alfred Wegener Institute. Additionally, another Pacific Footballfish has been discovered in Encinitas, California, making it the third such specimen to be found in 2021 after 20 years.
